Reds Working On Contract Agreement With Bronson Arroyo

The Cincinnati Reds and Bronson Arroyo are working on a contract agreement, according to a report.

The deal is expected to be a minor league pact with an invitation to spring training.

Arroyo is nearly 40 and hasn't thrown a pitch in the Major Leagues in more than two years.

Morneau intends to return for a 15th Major League season in 2017, but he'll have to find a team willing to give him enough at-bats to make it worthwhile.

He has appeared in just 107 games over the last two seasons, hitting .283/.330/.442 with nine home runs.

Morneau last played for the Twins in 2013.
